Steven R. Weisman

Before his recent move to the Peterson Institute for International Economics, Weisman was chief diplomatic correspondent of The New York Times. An award-winning journalist, he has covered politics, economics, and international affairs for more than thirty years. While at the Times Steven Weisman became a member of the editorial board in 1995, after having served as deputy foreign editor since 1992. Previously, he served as bureau chief in Tokyo from 1989 to 1992 and as bureau chief in New Delhi from 1985 to 1989, among other positions at the paper.
